Alvast.
Registration
Cost: Free
Waiting list: No
Registration steps
- 1Check the current offer at https://alvast.nl/aanbod/ - Alvast rents out temporarily under a bruikleen (property guardianship) agreement, not a standard rental contract.
- 2Register as a resident via https://alvast.nl/aanbod/inschrijven-bewoners/.
- 3Open the property you want and use the 'Reageer direct' button on the property page.
- 4Add a motivation: Alvast explicitly asks you to explain who you are and why you want to live there.
- 5Supply a copy of your passport or ID (for example via the KopieID app) and proof of income.
- 6Note Alvast's selection criteria: at least 18 years old, no minor children, flexible given the temporary nature, and preferably available immediately.
Required Documents
- ✓Valid ID or passport
- ✓Income statement or pay slips
Indicative: most landlords ask for documents at or after the viewing, not with your first response.

Tips for applying
- •Contact runs through [email protected]; head office Rotterdam 010 - 43 69 111.
- •Regional offices: Rotterdam ('s Gravendijkwal 40b), Amsterdam (Cabotstraat 1, 020 - 851 8994), Arnhem (Hertogstraat 2-I, 026 - 370 45 46) and Eindhoven (040 - 243 77 11).
- •This is property guardianship: you sign a bruikleen agreement with a mutual 28-day notice period, without the tenant protection of a regular rental contract.
- •The fee shown is bare and excludes gas, water and electricity; service costs come on top (roughly 250 euro per month for the Amsterdam-Zuidoost project because of block heating).
- •Minor children are not allowed, even if they live elsewhere - this is a hard selection requirement at Alvast.
- •Registering at the address is mandatory for part of the offer; check this per property.
- •Your motivation weighs heavily in the selection: write a concrete story rather than a standard reply.
