Entree.
Registration
Cost: Free
Waiting list: Yes, average
Registration steps
- 1Browse the offer at https://www.entree.nu - the full listing overview is visible without an account
- 2Register for free at https://www.entree.nu/inschrijven/ - Entree charges no registration fee
- 3At step 1 choose the registration type: 'Huurwoningen' (rental homes) or 'Overig aanbod' (parking space, garage or storage)
- 4Conditions: you are 18 or older and you are legally allowed to live in the Netherlands
- 5Complete the form: personal details, contact details, any co-residents, income and login details
- 6From your registration date you build up 'meettijd' (accrued time), which counts for homes allocated by the meettijd method
- 7Log in and respond to an advertisement before its closing date; for lottery ('loting') and 'direct te huur' homes your meettijd is irrelevant
- 8On a match the offering housing association invites you for a viewing and then requests your income and personal documents for the statutory income test
Required Documents
- ✓Valid ID or passport
- ✓Income statement or pay slips
Indicative: most landlords ask for documents at or after the viewing, not with your first response.
How to Apply?

Tips for applying
- •Entree has no customer service desk of its own: questions about registration time, allocation or your data go to one of the affiliated housing associations (contact list per municipality at https://www.entree.nu/contact/)
- •Question about a specific advertisement? Contact the housing association offering that home - its name and contact details are at the bottom right of the ad
- •Check the allocation method on every ad: 'meettijd' (your accrued time decides), 'loting' (lottery, everyone who qualifies has an equal chance) or 'direct te huur' (first come, first served)
- •Just registered? Focus on lottery and direct-te-huur ads; with meettijd you stand no chance without accrued time
- •With a lottery win, not responding to a viewing invitation carries penalties - read the conditions in the tooltip on the ad
- •Registration is free, including for non-residential offers such as garages and parking spaces
- •Save a WoonWens profile and switch on the e-mail tip alert to receive matching new listings automatically
- •Social housing is allocated by income: your income decides which rent bracket you may respond to (explanation at https://www.entree.nu/passend-toewijzen-uitleg/)
- •Homes in Andelst, Hemmen, Herveld, Oosterhout, Slijk-Ewijk, Valburg and Zetten are not on Entree but on wstvalburg.nl; Montferland runs via thuisindeachterhoek.nl
- •According to the registration form, refugees from Ukraine covered by the RTB scheme are not permitted to rent social housing in this region
