Hef Wonen.

Registration

Cost: Not required
Waiting list: No

Registration steps

  1. 1Check the current offer at https://huuraanbod.hefwonen.nl/huuraanbod - this is mid-market and free-sector rent, not social housing.
  2. 2Watch the label above the address: 'Beschikbaar' means you can apply, 'Onder optie' means it is already provisionally allocated.
  3. 3Open the property and use the 'Ik heb interesse!' button on the detail page. You can only respond once per property.
  4. 4Check the income requirement in the property description: it is stated per property as an amount, with separate limits for single and dual earners.
  5. 5Sign up for 'Aanbod in je mail' at https://huuraanbod.hefwonen.nl/aanbod-in-je-mail to follow new listings.
  6. 6If you are invited to a viewing and you are leaving behind a Hef Wonen social housing unit, bring proof - that group gets priority.

Required Documents

  • Income statement or pay slips

Indicative: most landlords ask for documents at or after the viewing, not with your first response.

Viewings: By appointment

Tips for applying

  • Phone for homes and parking spaces: 010 210 66 00. Commercial space: 010 210 65 65. No email address is published; contact runs through the form at https://huuraanbod.hefwonen.nl/contact.
  • Hef Wonen charges no deposit and low administration costs of 30 euro, with a one-month notice period.
  • Housing benefit (huurtoeslag) is not possible for these mid-market rentals.
  • A payment-behaviour screening via Economic Data Resources (EDR) is part of the letting conditions; even after provisional allocation Hef Wonen can still decline to let.
  • A confirmation email after you apply says nothing about the allocation order - properties are offered through several channels at once.
  • The offer is small and moves fast: on 12 August 2026 there were 11 properties, 9 of which were already under option.
  • Some complexes carry extra conditions, such as a 55-plus building with a maximum of two adults.
