1. 1Browse the free-sector rentals at https://www.vindjeplekbijdekey.nl/huren. No account needed to view them.
2. 2Watch the ribbon on the card: 'verhuurd' or 'verhuurd o.v.' means it is already let, even though the advert stays online.
3. 3Open the listing page and read the BIJZONDERHEDEN block. It states the income requirement, deposit, service costs and contract fee for that specific home.
4. 4Respond via the button on the listing page or call Contact & Service on (020) 621 43 33.
5. 5Looking for social housing from De Key? Those are not on this site; they run through WoningNet.

• •The income requirement is stated per listing in the BIJZONDERHEDEN block and is NET, not gross. Example: Sarphatistraat 210 required a combined net monthly income of at least 2.5x the monthly rent.
• •Financial guarantors are explicitly not accepted on at least part of the portfolio - check this per listing.
• •Expect to supply a municipal register extract with your application, plus a one-off contract fee (16.50 euro for Sarphatistraat 210).
• •Deposits are substantial: 1500 euro for Sarphatistraat 210. Service costs are charged on top of the rent.
• •Minimum rental period is usually one year.
• •The landlord retains freedom of contract and may choose who to sign with, or not to sign at all.
• •Free-sector rental is a small slice of the offer: on 12 August 2026 there were 2 rentals against 15 properties for sale.
